Healing Testimony

Our daughter accidently fell right before Thanksgiving on the fireplace mantle. She hit her tooth and it was loose. We were hopeful it would tighten up after the first visit to the dentist. She is only 3 so if it came out her permanent tooth would not come in until she was about 7. That would have been 4 years without a front tooth. It was quite devastating as a parent to go through that.
We were so encouraged that it did tighten up but when we went back for the second time the dentist said there was an infection and it would have to come out. Our only option was to knock it out at home, strap her down at the dentist office while she was awake and take it out, or wait 6 months to a year to have her put under. There were no good options and I decided to get a second opinion. Our primary dentist advised to wait to see if the infection would go away but that likely even if it did, the infection would come back because the root may have been cracked. In the doctor's office, I told my daughter to show the dentist her tooth that Jesus healed! Even though the dentist gave his natural opinion, I knew my God was greater.
I came home and wrote down as many healing scriptures as I could find. On the back of each card I wrote, "Infection must go. Tooth you are healed". I hole punched them, tied a string to each one, and then tied it to each one of the bannisters on her toddler bed so she slept under them every night. I believe there were about 30. Everyday I put a scripture in my pocket from the banister and would pull it out when doubt and fear would enter my mind. I call these "faithups" and would say "Time for a faithup." I meditated on the same scripture for about 3 days until I had it memorized and then would go to the next.
The infection did go away and has not come back. I ask my daughter frequently, "Did Jesus heal you?" And she says "yes". Then I start praising God and am so thankful for His healing Scriptures. Recently, I went to check her tooth and she was agitated. She shouted "Jesus healed me!" Any time she says that, I start praising the Lord. I am so thankful He heals.
I have experienced healing with only one Scripture in the past. Though I wrote down and meditated on many Scriptures, Psalm 30:2 penetrated my soul this time. I also say this out loud to my daughter frequently. Please understand when a doctor tells me a diagnosis, I am not full of faith. It is a decision I make to grab hold of a Scripture, hold fast to it, and do not let it go. It's a decision- not a feeling. Remember the ten leapers from Luke 17 on your journey of healing. Only one came back and thanked Jesus. We must remember to thank the Lord and share our testimony!
"Lord my God, I called to You for help and You healed me." Psalm 30:2
